How to use Mark for marketing

The fastest path is simple: choose one audience, one message angle, one channel, then run weekly learning loops. Use this page as your operating system.

First 30 minutes

  1. Define one ideal customer profile (ICP) and one urgent pain point.
  2. Set voice constraints in plain language under Settings.
  3. Generate one strategy or start Launch playbook from the dashboard.
  4. Approve three content pieces and queue one for publishing.
  5. Scan opportunities and reply to one high-relevance thread.
  6. Run a weekly review: Tracking card, Growth OS memo, and learning notes.

Capability playbook

Strategy and campaigns

What it does: Turns your URL and product context into a focused acquisition plan, weekly content, and optional launch checklist.

Try this first: Run one strategy generation after onboarding, or use Launch playbook on the dashboard for a guided 14-day launch.

Pro tip: Constrain your audience clearly: buyer role, company stage, and top pain. Specific inputs produce specific strategy.

Common mistake: Asking for a broad strategy before clarifying your ideal customer profile (ICP) and offer. You get generic output.

Content and post queue

What it does: Drafts channel-ready posts from strategy, routes approved pieces to the queue, and supports scheduled or API posting.

Try this first: Generate three posts for one channel from a single angle, approve them, then publish from the post queue.

Pro tip: Keep tone constraints short and explicit. Add one real proof point in each draft before posting.

Common mistake: Generating high volume across too many channels before you know which message converts.

Tracking and opportunities

What it does: Ranks conversations, posting, AI visibility, competitors, outcomes, and experiments on the dashboard. Opportunity Finder surfaces threads with reply windows.

Try this first: Check the Tracking card each morning; reply to the highest-priority conversation before the window closes.

Pro tip: Use objection language from replies to refine next week prompts and landing copy.

Common mistake: Treating opportunities like a link-drop workflow. Promotion-first replies get ignored.

AI visibility (GEO)

What it does: Measures citation share and message fidelity across AI engines, flags week-over-week drops, and suggests displacement content.

Try this first: Run your first measurement from AI Visibility, then review trend labels on the dashboard Tracking card.

Pro tip: Ship comparison and checklist content when fidelity drops — align copy with your brand kit positioning.

Common mistake: Measuring once and never acting on displacement or fidelity alerts.

Analytics, experiments, and learning

What it does: Tracks outcomes, runs A/B angle tests per campaign, derives learning notes, and feeds insights into the Growth OS memo.

Try this first: Log outcomes weekly, launch one experiment with min sample per variant, and derive learning notes at week end.

Pro tip: Judge posts by intent and outcomes, not impressions. Save only lessons that change future decisions.

Common mistake: Looking at analytics without converting insights into new prompt constraints and channel rules.

Integrations and execution

What it does: Connects Bluesky, email, analytics, and posting workflows so publishing stays in one workspace.

Try this first: Connect one destination first and run a small batch from the post queue to confirm format and naming.

Pro tip: Standardize naming for campaigns and assets so weekly reviews are readable.

Common mistake: Automating distribution before message quality is stable. You scale noise, not results.

Weekly cadence

  1. Monday: check the dashboard Tracking card and pick one high-priority intercept.
  2. Tuesday–Wednesday: publish from the queue and reply in relevant conversations.
  3. Thursday: review AI visibility trends, competitor alerts, and experiment progress.
  4. Friday: update prompts and channel rules from analytics, learning notes, and wins.
